John Bock

John Bock, PhD

Director, Center for Sustainability
Coordinator, Environmental Studies Program

John Bock is professor of anthropology, coordinator of the Environmental Studies Program, and founding director of the Center for Sustainability at Cal State Fullerton. He is also the associate editor of the journal Human Nature. He has conducted extensive research in Botswana and New Mexico over the last 20 years. Bock is author or co-author of over 30 articles and book chapters, has edited special issues of several prominent anthropology journals, and is co-editor of the recent volume The Anthropology of Learning in Childhood (Alta Mira, 2010). Bock has been a principal or co-investigator on research grants totaling $1.5 million.

Stuart Atkins is a speaker, marketing consultant, author, and adjunct professor of marketing. After working in corporate marketing at Toshiba America and Kingston Technology for over 20 years, Stuart founded Atkins Marketing Solutions, a small business marketing consulting company located in Orange, California. He is the author of "Small Business Marketing: A Guide for Survival, Growth, and Success.

Atul Teckchandani is an Assistant Professor of Management at California State University, Fullerton. He currently teaches the "New Venture Creation" and "Entrepreneurial Leadership" classes. His research examines how the relationships between organizations in a community can affect economic outcomes, such as the creation of jobs and new businesses. He also holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business (University of Texas, Austin) and has worked as a hardware engineer at various high-tech firms in Silicon Valley.

Laurie Resnick is President of the Associated Group, a full service commercial landscape, interior plantscape, and display firm based in Santa Ana, and a principal of its subsidiary, Rolling Greens Nursery located in Culver City. The company was founded in 1986 by Ms. Resnick and her two partners. Each year, Ms. Resnick works with the California State University Fullerton College of Business and Economics “Professor For A Day” program and has enjoyed being a classroom mentor in the Entrepreneurship program. She is a member of the Executive Council for The College of Business and Economics, and was honored in 2006 by the College for her business accomplishments and achievements. She holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, which she received in 1977 from California State University Fullerton.

John Bradley Jackson is Director for The Center for Entrepreneurship at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He is also a Professor of “Marketing and Entrepreneurship” and “New Venture Creation.” Jackson brings practical marketing and sales management experience to the classroom from both Silicon Valley and Wall Street. Jackson is the author of “First, Best, or Different: What Every Entrepreneur Needs to Know About Niche Marketing.” His latest book is called “Déjà New Marketing: Increase Sales with Social Media, Search Marketing, E-mail Marketing, Blogs, and More.”


Joe Burke

Joe Burke has 15 years of experience in marketing and advertising in both agency and corporate roles. Joe was the Brand Director for Disney Store where he built national multi channel retail campaigns, and Wet Seal; where he engineered record-breaking sales in retail and E-Commerce reported in the LA Times and OC Business Journal. In 2008, Joe was hired by SWIRE to help aggressively grow a direct mail agency into a full-service agency. In the two years Joe served as the EVP, Creative Director, the agency grew revenues over 200% each year; reported by Fox Business. Joe earned his Bachelors from RIT, New York where he was the Hylan Scholarship recipient, served on Student Directorate, and competed in NCAA Wrestling. Joe is a musician and artist with extensive world travels.
